　　The 2005 MY Aprilia Scarabeo 500 is the biggest machine in the series, and is particularly aimed for those riders who want more comfort, as well as the capability to tackle longer, inter-city hauls. It comes standard with a dual seat with lumbar support for the rider and a backrest for the passenger, a rear trunk, an under-seat storage compartment, a windscreen and fairing, as well as dual shocks as a rear suspension and dual front disc brakes.

　　In the tech/engine department, it sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 460cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a continuously variable transmission and can produce a claimed 39 horsepower and 41 Nm of torque.
