In 2007, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia SXV 450, a supermoto machine in its second year of production. The bike debuted in 2006 alongside its slightly larger displacement sister that was more off-road oriented.
The Aprilia SXV, alongside the RXV, was a dual-sports supermoto motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 2006 to 2010. The SXV was available in a 450cc version and a larger 550cc displacement.
The 2007 motorcycle came with the same shape and form as the previous model, packing the same performance, visual, and technical specifications without any significant modifications whatsoever.
It was fitted with the same standard features as the previous model, including a high-mounted front fender, a small headlight integrated into a tiny cowl, a one-piece dual seat, an engine cover, a dual-sided swingarm, an under-seat-mounted exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels with road tires.
As for power, the 2007 Aprilia SXV 450 had its soul brought to life by a 449cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled powerhouse managed by a fuel injection system, boasting an output power of 60 hp with maximum strength at 13,000 rpm.
The bike packed a 48 mm adjustable upside-down telescopic fork on the front end with a 320 mm brake disc and a four-piston caliper. The rear end was controlled by an adjustable monoshock and a 240 mm disc with a two-piston caliper, providing excellent suspension performance and stopping power.
