　　The 2005 MY Buell XB12Ss Lightning Long has been equipped with an extended swing arm and its fork rake has been increased, for more responsive handling and the possibility to accommodate taller riders, as opposed to the base model. At its heart lies an air-cooled, four-stroke, 1203cc, 45-degree pushrod V-Twin engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission with a Kevlar belt, and can reach a maximum power output of 103 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque.

　　Also, it has standard features such as a large, 375mm ZTL-type front disc brake with a 6-piston caliper, a 43mm fully-adjustable Showa upside-down fork, a fully-adjustable Showa mono-shock as a rear suspension, a flat, track-style handlebar, a Graphite Gray hollow aluminium frame that doubles as a fuel tank, a Buell InterActive under-belly exhaust system and a digital and analogue instrument cluster.
