In 2008, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV 1000 R10th Anniversary Special Edition, designed to celebrate 10 years since the first RSV Mille was manufactured.
The bike was dressed in a full fairing painted in a special scheme resembling the purple, orange, and silver colors found on the first model. In addition, the bike had the modern Aprilia lion's head style graphics.
Also, every graphic piece was spray-painted, while the front wheel matched the front purple color scheme and the rear wheel matched the rear red tail. Besides that, the bike packed the same specifications as the standard model.
In the performance department, the 2008 Aprilia RSV 1000 R 10th Anniversary Special Edition had its soul brought to life by a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine that delivered an output power of 143 hp with a peak force at 10,000 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
Suspension-wise, the motorcycle packed a 43 mm upside-down Ohlins compression, rebound, and preload-adjustable fork with 120 mm wheel travel on the front and an adjustable Ohlins monoshock on the rear with 133 mm wheel travel.
As for the braking power, the bike's wheels were fitted with two 320 mm brake discs mounted on the front wheel coupled to four-piston calipers, and a 220 mm brake disc married to a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel achieved the braking power.
