The Aprilia RSV Mille was a race-derived sports machine produced by Aprilia from 1998 until 2003 when it was replaced by the Aprilia RSV 1000 R. It was made in RSV Mille, RSV Mille R, and RSV Miller SP versions.
In 2003, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV Mille, a sports motorcycle that debuted in 1998. The bike was in its sixth and final year of production in this form, replaced by a restyled version with a different name.
Over its production period, the bike received three revisions, such as the one in 2001, with restyled fairing packing wind deflectors that improved airflow, a plastic fuel tank reduced in capacity, and a revised rear shock absorber also received by the R version.
In 2002, the bike received its second revision, with Brembo Monobloc four-pad front brake calipers, with each piston having its own pad, increasing the braking performance and feel.
In 2003, it had the third upgrade, with the gear ratios changed for a slightly closer ratio gearbox, a different exhaust system, and a redesigned rear end and front fender.
In the performance department, the 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, boasting 130 hp at 9,500 rpm and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) torque at 7,250 rpm.
