　　The 2008 MY Buell XB9SX Lightning City X is one of the most innovative and unique street-fighters available on the market up to date. It has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 984cc, 45-degree V-Twin powerplant paired to a five-speed manual transmission with a Kevlar belt, that can produce a claimed 92 horsepower and 97 Nm of torque.

　　Besides all the features found on the base Lightning, it also boasts handlebar deflectors, a headlight grille, wide, supermotard-style handlebars, a Skyline seat for a better view of city traffic, a new, easy-shifting transmission, a Goodyear Hibrex drive belt with Flexten Plus technology, a lighter and stiffer swingarm and a new air intake location as well as most of the features found on the base model.
