The Ducati Multistrada was a motorcycle manufactured by Ducati since 2010. It was part of the Multistrada range, comprised of various motorcycles with different engine displacements but similar appearances.
The 1200 mode was available in three versions, the base, S, and S Touring. The Sport model featured ABS and an electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension system, while the S Touring version featured heated grips, hard side-mounted panniers, and a center stand.
In 2014, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring, a machine addressed to riders who want to spend as much time as possible behind the handlebar.
In the aesthetic department, the bike was fitted with standard features, such as a front fairing with a tall windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with a passenger grab handle, heated grips, side-mounted panniers for extra storage, 10-spoke wheels, and a center stand.
Like the all-S-suffixed model in the family, the bike featured a better suspension system, comprised of a 48 mm fully adjustable USD Sachs fork on the front with 170 mm wheel travel and a fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear with 170 mm wheel travel.
As for power, the 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200S Touring had its soul brought to life by a 1,198cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine fed by an electronically controlled fuel injection system, boasting 160 hp at 9,500 rpm and 136 Nm (100 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
