In 2017, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Ducati Multistrada 950, which combined design elements from the 1200 and 1200 Enduro models, especially taking the lightest elements from both machines.
The front end with its distinctive headlight beak, adjustable windscreen, wings, and tank was borrowed from the Multistrada 1200 standard model, and the seat with a narrow midsection, the passenger seat, the rear grab handle, exhaust system, swingarm design, and wheels size were taken from the 1200 Enduro model.
The 2017 Ducati Multistrada 950 was available in two color schemes, Ducati Red with Racing Grey tubular steel Trellis frame and matt grey wheels and Star White Silk with Racing Grey frame and matt grey wheels.
In addition, the maker offered four personalization packages, such as a touring pack with side-mounted panniers and a center stand, a sport pack with a Termignoni exhaust system, billet aluminum frame plugs, and brake fluid reservoir plug.
The Urban pack comprised a top case, a tank bag with a tank lock, and a USB hub to charge different electronics. In contrast, the Enduro pack featured supplementary LED lights, and Touratech-made components, such as engine crash bars, an aluminum radiator guard, an aluminum sump guard, a larger kickstand base, and off-road rider pegs.
As for performance, the 2017 Ducati Multistrada 950 had its heartbeat set by a 937cc four-stroke L-twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and 96 Nm (71 lb-ft) torque at 7,750 rpm.
