Launched in 2022, the Ducati Multistrada V2 is available in two versions: V2 and V2S. Weight reduction, ergonomics, and engine updates were the focus of Ducati during the bike's development.
In Ducati’s line-up, the Multistrada 950 was replaced by the Multistrada V2, which started its life as the rival of BMW F 900 XR and Triumph Tiger 900.
The Multistrada V2 and V2S are both powered by a 937cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, twin-cylinder engine attached to a six-speed gearbox that together crafts a power of 113 hp (83 kW) at 9,000 rpm and a torque of 96 Nm (70 lb-ft) at 6,750 rpm.
The V2 is five kg lighter than the old bike and has a wet weight of 222 kg (489 lbs), while the V2 S tips the scale at 225 kg (496 lbs). Ducati made the Multistrada V2 lower, slimmer, and lighter than the predecessor. It is equipped with the latest technologies and four riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro). In terms of braking system, it uses 320 mm font and 265 mm rear Brembo discs.
The Multistrada V2 has an adjustable Sachs shock suspension, while the Multistrada V 2S is equipped as standard with Ducati's Skyhook EVO semi-active suspension.
At the time of writing (2022), the Ducati Multistrada V2 was selling for $15,296, and the Ducati Multistrada V2 S for $17,895.
