The Indian Chief was a cruiser motorcycle manufactured by the American motorcycle manufacturer between 1922 and 1953 and again from 1999 until the present (2023). The Chief was the Company's larger twin, delivering more power than the more agile Scout model used in competition and sport riding.
In 2023, the American motorcycle introduced its 2024 lineup, which included the Indian Chief Dark Horse, a bike that blends American V-twin style with modern technology and performance.
The Chief Dark Horse's minimalist and mechanical design features a drag-styled handlebar, mid-mounted food controls, a sleek headlight cowl, a single bobber-style seat, and 19-inch cast wheels.
The Indian Chief Dark Horse is available in Sandstone Smoke, Black Smoke, Springfield Blue Smoke, and Sunset Red Metallic color schemes and sold at an MSRP starting at $18,999.
As for the power figures, the 2024 model year Indian Chief Dark Horse has installed a massive 1,890cc four-stroke air-cooled Thunderstroke engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering 163 Nm (120 lb-ft) torque at 2,900 rpm.
A 46 mm telescopic fork with 132 mm travel handles the bike's front suspension, while two adjustable shock absorbers on the rear with 75 mm travel deal with the rear suspension.
As for the braking power, the bike relies on a 300 mm semi-floating disc coupled to a four-piston caliper on the front wheel and a 300 mm disc tied to a dual-piston caliper on the front wheel.
