JANUS MOTORCYCLES

JANUS MOTORCYCLES

Janus Motorcycles is an American motorcycle manufacturer founded by Richard Worsham and Devin Biek in 2011, based in Goshen, Indiana. The maker has produced small-displacement motorcycles since 2013.

At first, Both Worsham and Biek restored, repaired, and tuned vintage pedal-type bikes, a business that led to their interest in developing small and lightweight motorcycles. Also, they developed business relationships with local component vendors.

Their range comprised several models, including the Halcyon 50, Halcyon 250, Phoenix 250, Gryffin 250, and Halcyon 450. Their first model was the Halcyon 50, which packed a hard-tail design with a long and low fuel tank, a sprung seat, a wide handlebar, and a six-speed transmission.

The Halcyon 150 and Phoenix 250 were introduced in 2015, powered by a 250cc engine. The Halcyon 250 was an update of the first model, with a redesigned frame, wheels, hydraulic brakes, and a style that resembled 1920s and 1930s motorcycles.

The Phoenix 250 was sportier, with Grand Prix-inspired lines, a full suspension system, a long Dunstall-styled fuel tank, and a cafe racer seat.

In 2017, the maker introduced the Gryffin 250, a motorcycle with a scrambler style and off-road capabilities. All three models were built on the same double cradle frame with a leading-link front suspension system.

In 2021, the American maker launched the Halcyon 450, a motorcycle with unique features, including a hand-stamped serial number, an engraved fuel cap with a serial number, a signed and numbered first edition print, and a signed and numbered chain guard.
