As part of the 2023 lineup, the Austrian manufacturer launched the KTM 890 DUKE GP, a naked machine fitted with an all-new GP-derived CTG, a lightweight chassis, impressive power, and an aggressive appearance.
The 2023 lineup was introduced with new graphics and colors, while the new KTM 890 DUKE GP offered a black-on-white color scheme topped by a bright and striking orange-finished subframe and wheels.
The bike's chassis was made with a single goal in mind: to keep it as rigid and compact as possible to deliver excellent handling with grated lean angles and extreme responsiveness.
Like on the DUKE 890 R, the subframe was made of cast aluminum and housed the airbox without any plastic covers and additional brackets. Everything was made of two cast-connected pieces that reduced weight, with triangular shapes that allowed for a stiffer and stronger construction.
The bike's suspension was handled by a 43 mm Apex open cartridge upside-down fork on the front and a high-quality gas-assisted WP rear shock absorber on the rear that packed a lightweight linear spring, improving progression and comfort.
The 2023 KTM 890 DUKE GP was fitted with lightweight wheels, manufactured in a low-pressure die-casting process, and painted bright orange to highlight its sporty characteristics.
In the performance department, the 2023 KTM 890 DUKE GP packed an 889cc four-stroke two-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered 121 hp with a peak force at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm (68 lb-ft) torque at 7,750 rpm.
The Austrian manufacturer offered the 2023 KTM 890 DUKE GP with a base price of $15,460.
