The Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 was a dual-purpose machine part of Moto Guzzi's range presented in November 2007 at the Milan Motorcycle Show as a 2008 model year. The bike succeeded the Moto Guzzi Quota and was followed by the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello.
In 2015, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi 1200 ABS, an enduro/off-road motorcycle fitted with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) that ensured a safer riding experience.
The bike was visually similar to previous models, packing standard features, including a dual headlight system, a large windscreen, a two-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system, and ten double-spoke aluminum wheels.
In the power department, the 2015 Moto Guzzi 1200 ABS had its soul brought to life by a 1,151ccfour-stroke V-twin air-cooled engine fed by an electronically controlled fuel injection system, generating 105 hp at 7,500 rpm and 108 Nm (80 lb-ft) torque at 6,400 rpm.
Suspension-wise, the motorcycle was fitted with a 45 mm fully adjustable inverted fork on the front and a single-sided swingarm with an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, offering excellent handling capabilities.
The bike's wheels were tied to twin 320 mm floating discs on the front engaged by four-piston calipers and a 282 mm stainless steel disc with a dual-piston floating caliper, providing excellent stopping performance.
