The Suzuki GSX-S1000 was a standard motorcycle that debuted in 2015 in Japan. The model shared the engine from the GSX-R1000 and was slightly tuned for lower-end rpm torque.
Suzuki shifted into the second gear with the 2016 line-up of GSX-S1000 family motorcycles, which included the GSX-S1000, GSX-S1000 ABS, and GSX-S1000F ABS, all tied directly to the legendary GSX-R heritage of inline-four performance and design, with an aggressive bodywork style either on the naked or fairing bike.
The 2016 GSX-S1000 model was powered by a 999cc four-stroke liquid-cooled engine with optimized cams for street domination and screwed to a six-speed manual transmission.
The bike packed an aluminum chassis, designed for street-riding comfort, and the Suzuki advanced Traction Control System with three riding modes. With a handlebar-mounted switch, the rider could easily choose between the modes or completely turn off the system.
For suspension, the bike packs a 43 mm KYB inverted front fork with an adjustable rebound and compression damping with spring preload and a link-style single-shock on the rear. The Renthal handlebar was made of lightweight aluminum alloy and was meant to reduce vibrations.
The lightweight LCD cluster featured a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, water temperature gauge, gear position indicator, average and instant fuel consumption readout, and more.
The 2016 model was for sale in 2022 starting from $6,000.
