The newest addition to the 2023 Triumph line-up was the Triumph Scrambler 400 X alongside the Speed 400. The Scrambler 400 X was designed from the ground up with a new single-engine platform and borrowed its design cues from the Scrambler 900 and 1200, with an off-road ability that harked back to the first Scramblers of the 1950s.
The all-road attitude of the Scrambler 400 X was enhanced by many practical and purposeful features that included protection for the headlight, sump, radiator, hand guards, a padded handlebar brace, and a more extended mudguard on the front wheel.
The 2023 Triumph Scrambler 400 X was available with three two-tone color schemes, Matt Khaki Green with Fusion White, Carnival Red with Phantom Black, and Phantom Black with Silver Ice. Every color scheme was complemented by distinctive Triumph graphics on the fuel tank, with a triangle badged and stripes.
Compared to the Speed 400, the Scrambler 400 X had a longer wheelbase, longer travel suspension, a larger 19-inch front wheel, and a wider handlebar for better stability and control. It also provided a more upright and commanding riding position.
In addition, the 2023 Scrambler 400 X was loaded with top-end technology, such as a Ride-by-wire throttle, Traction Control, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Torque-assist clutch, factory-fitted security, and LED lighting.
At the bike's core was a 398cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with a fuel injection system in charge. The engine was coupled to a six-speed manual transmission, spinning the rear wheel with a force of 40 hp at 8,000 rpm and 38 Nm (28 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
