Although it was released in 2023, the new URAL Gear Up looks like a 1940 machine made for military purposes. On-demand, the Gear Up came with a two-wheel drive system as standard, which improved the traction of the sidecar.
In 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine, the Russian manufacturer moved the Ural production to Kazakhstan, making the Gear Up one of the first models manufactured at the new base.
The 2023 URAL Gear Up sidecar was available in eight standard colors: Slate Grey, Bronze Satin, Flat Green, Terracotta Satin, Rainier White, Northwest Grey, Klein Blue, and Terracotta Metallic.
The bike's suspension was handled by an IMZ leading link fork on the front, a double-sided swingarm with two Sachs shock absorbers on the rear, and the sidecar featured a single-sided swingarm with Sachs shock absorbers.
Also, the braking power was achieved by a four-piston Brembo caliper with a 295 mm NG disc on the front, a two-piston caliper with a 265 mm NG disc on the rear, and a dual-piston Brembo caliper with a 245 mm NG disc on the sidecar.
The 2023 URAL Gear Up was powered by a 749cc two-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine fed by an electronically controlled fuel injection system, boasting 41 hp with a peak at 5,500 rpm and 57 Nm (42 lb-ft) torque at 4,300 rpm.
The machine was for sale with an MSRP of $21,999 for the American market and $29,999 for the Canadian market.
