Aside from the ultra-rare Valkyrie hypercar, the DBS is Aston Martin's ultimate creation. It's the iconic brand's most expensive and most powerful model. The flagship coupe is based on the DB11 but it's been reworked to provide more style and performance. A 715-horsepower turbocharged V12 blasts the DBS to 60 mph in a touted 3.4 seconds and can propel it to a top speed of 211 mph. The DBS, however, isn't just about power and performance — it's a superbly luxurious and comfortable long-distance grand-touring machine that's highly customizable.

Unlike most of its rivals, the DBS provides a good middle ground in the world of high-dollar grand tourers. It's not as fast or athletic as a Porsche or Ferrari, and it's not as lavish or comfortable as a Bentley or Rolls-Royce. Instead, the DBS delivers the best of both worlds. You can adorn it with the finest leather upholstery and equip it with a ferocious-sounding titanium exhaust. There's also a convertible version called the Volante.
You might have noticed by now that Superleggera is missing from the name. Well, for 2022, Aston Martin decided to drop it and simply call it the DBS. The brand also introduced three interior "environments" called Create, Inspire and Accelerate. Each offers its own upholstery materials and customizable color options.
The Aston Martin DBS is part of an exclusive segment of the market. If you're considering this $300,000 grand tourer, make sure to check out the opulent Bentley Continental and the precise-handling McLaren GT. And if you have the budget for it, the Ferrari 812 GTS and its high-revving V12 can't be overlooked. But if you're set on the DBS, its unique combination of power and posh won't let you down. It will undoubtedly turn heads as it struts its distinctive styling and prestigious Aston Martin badging.
Which DBS does zzdcar recommend?
The DBS is sold as one well-equipped model, and the biggest choice you have to make is whether you want the coupe or convertible (Volante) model. Like many high-end grand tourers, the DBS is very customizable. You have a wide variety of exterior and interior colors and trims, wheel designs, brake caliper colors, stand-alone options and more to consider. The Bang & Olufsen Beosound audio system and ventilated seats are worthy upgrades.
