The DBX is far and away Aston Martin's most popular vehicle, accounting for half of the company's worldwide sales last year. And it's not hard to see the reason for that success — the DBX faithfully adapts the design, driving feel and craftsmanship that Aston Martin sports cars are known for to a more family-friendly vehicle. But if for some reason you were thinking the DBX lacked performance, there's a new version that might entice you: the 2023 Aston Martin DBX707. The DBX707 starts by bumping the DBX's output by about 30%, then adds more performance hardware to help it handle as well as it goes.

zzdcar spotlight: The 707's unique upgrades
Under the hood is a Mercedes-sourced twin-turbocharged V8, but it's been massaged by Aston to deliver nearly 700 horsepower — 155 hp more than the standard DBX. The automatic transmission also features a multi-plate clutch (instead of the DBX's traditional torque convertor) for quicker shifts. A one-piece carbon-fiber driveshaft, carbon-ceramic brakes, performance-tuned air suspension and retuned differentials are just some of the many upgrades unique to the DBX707.
Competitors to consider
The standard DBX is a natural competitor if you don't need all the DBX707's extra hardware. The DBX707's closest rival is the Lamborghini Urus, which also starts right around this point. You can also go for the quick but less performance-focused Bentley Bentayga Speed or the significantly less expensive Maserati Levante Trofeo.2023 Aston Martin DBX707 SUV Specs
