The restyled 2022 S8 now retails for about a $16,000 discount over the 2021 model when new. For that amount you get updated exterior looks, the same powerful V8 engine and a similarly deluxe cabin. So what gives? Well, the S8 now includes fewer standard features than it did previously. It's an interesting strategy, to say the least.

　　The end result, however, is a luxury sport sedan with remarkable gusto for its price point. The S8 packs 563 horsepower, quite a bit more than the equivalently priced Mercedes or BMW competitor. If it's max muscle you want, this four-door performance car fits the bill. The S8 is also renowned for its sporty ride quality, with handling aided by a standard all-wheel steering system for cornering precision and high-speed stability.
