The 2013 Cadillac XTS adopted the new Cadillac design language and the new approach to the market. The edgy sloped and aggressive design should be more appealing to an important part of the market.
General Motors listened more to the market and it came with the XTS, as an answer to the market's demand. A design that looks simple, yet attractive and with lots of details to discover. Standard wheels are of 19”, but 20” light-alloy wheels are on the options list.
Inside the vehicle, the luxury is obvious everywhere. The instrument cluster is a configurable 12.3” TFT screen. On the center console, there is an 8” touchscreen display for the infotainment system. The interior design is beautifully crafted, with leather seats and Alcantara material on the ceiling. The brushed aluminum and wood inserts are completing the luxurious appearance.
For the platform, the 2013 XTS featured an FWD architecture, and all-wheel drive was available as an option. The Magnetic Ride Control is claimed as being the fastest available at the time of launch, and it was standard.
Under the hood, there is a 3.6-liter engine mated with a standard 6-speed automatic gearbox. Here, the XTS loses ground in front of the other car manufacturers in the same segment, which offers more options for engines and more gears in the gearbox.
