What is the Tahoe?
The Tahoe is a large SUV that rides on a platform derived from GM's pickup trucks. With the Tahoe in its fifth generation, the time has come for an update and we're likely to see the three-row SUV get the same styling updates found on the refreshed Silverado 1500 that debuted in 2022. That means a gigantic front grille and curved LED details up front, all in an effort to make the Tahoe appear even burlier.
These truck roots give body-on-frame SUVs like the Tahoe a big advantage over the field of midsize SUVs — which are for the most part car-based — when it comes to towing and overall ability off-road. And in the case of the Tahoe, it still has a decent ride and the driving dynamics of a smaller vehicle.
Official information on the 2024 Tahoe is still forthcoming, so we don't yet know what this refresh will hold for the interior technology or any additions under the hood (a hybrid powertrain perhaps?). But with solid bones to build off of, this new Tahoe has plenty of potential to edge out competitors like the The Tahoe, Jeep Wagoneer and The Tahoe.
zzdcar says
The 2024 Tahoe is up for a refresh that should update the big ute's styling, though it remains to be seen if these changes will touch up the interior and powertrains as well. Check back with us for updates on the 2024 Tahoe as we find out more.
