2022 Ford Transit Crew Van Review

The Ford Transit Crew van is designed for customers who need to transport a small team of workers plus all of their tools and materials to the job site. Equipped with a second-row bench seat, the Crew seats five passengers and dedicates the rest of its interior space to cargo. Like the rest of the Transit lineup, the Ford Transit Crew is available in numerous configurations, and you're able to choose from three roof heights, two wheelbase lengths and two V6 gasoline engines. Additionally, the Crew offers an extended-body option and an available all-wheel-drive system.
We like the Transit for its car-like cabin design and surprisingly good driving dynamics. The Transit's interior can be further enhanced this year with a new Sync 4 infotainment system featuring a 12-inch touchscreen. The tablet-like display sits atop the dashboard, and it brings with it wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, voice commands and more.
The 2022 Ford Transit Crew is somewhat unique in the commercial van space, with just one five-passenger competitor: the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Crew. But if you don't need the second-row bench, full-size cargo vans like the Ram ProMaster and Chevrolet Express can also fit the bill.
Which Transit Crew Van does zzdcar recommend?
The Transit Crew is offered in a wide range of configurations, giving you the freedom to equip your van with everything you need, and nothing you don't. Some of the Transit Crew's best options include the 360-degree camera system for easy parking and adaptive cruise control for stress-free driving in traffic. If you need directions to your next job site, the Sync 4 infotainment system with its massive touchscreen is easy to operate and can run navigation wirelessly from your phone.
