2025 Ford F-150 Review
by the zzdcar Experts11/28/2023
Overview
The Ford F-150 hits the sweet spot for a lot of truck buyers. As the full-size pickup in Ford's roster, it's supported by the smaller Maverick and Ranger. For those seeking even more capabilities, there is also the Super Duty range and the all-electric F-150 Lightning, which is reviewed separately. The F-150 has historically been the best-selling vehicle, and for good reason. There are a ton of models to fit a variety of needs and budgets. We expect the 2025 F-150 to return with minimal changes after a rather comprehensive update last year.
zzdcar spotlight: Variety and capabilities
The Ford F-150 boasts one of the most diverse lineups of any vehicle. Starting with the bare-bones XL trim to the luxurious King Ranch and the wickedly powerful Raptor, it seems as though there's a model for every kind of truck buyer. If that's not enough, there are also endless options to appoint your truck to perfectly suit your needs. This is particularly true when it comes to towing, as the F-150 can pull up to 14,000 pounds when properly equipped. Trailer backup assist, an integrated trailer brake controller and extended blind-spot warning further ease the burden on the driver.
Competitors to consider
Competition is understandably tight in the full-size pickup class and there's no doubt rivals have the class-leading F-150 in their crosshairs. The Ram 1500 is also a great choice for its comfortable ride and refined interior while the Toyota Tundra's reputation for reliability is legendary. Recent updates for the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado keep them in the running, but they don't manage to meaningfully distinguish themselves from the rest. You should definitely start your truck search with the Ford F-150.
zzdcar says
You really can't do any better than the Ford F-150 when it comes to full-size pickup trucks. It has the power, capabilities and technology to handle anything you can throw at it.
