Just a few years ago, if you wanted a large SUV with strong towing and off-road capabilities, your choices were somewhat limited. The field grew quite a bit in 2022 with the reintroduction of the Jeep Wagoneer, which also brought an abundance of luxury. Last year, the Wagoneer lineup expanded to include the Wagoneer L, a long-wheelbase model that greatly increases cargo capacity. A more fuel-efficient twin-turbo six-cylinder engine also debuted.

Avg. Large SUV
We don't expect many changes for the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, but that's not to say there won't be any news related to that name. You'll likely be hearing a lot about the Wagoneer S, an all-electric SUV that is quite a bit smaller, and we'll review that separately.
If the Wagoneer does indeed return unchanged for 2024, it'll remain a solid choice in the large SUV class. With a tow rating of 10,000 pounds when properly outfitted and an impressive 116.7-cubic-foot maximum cargo capacity, the Wagoneer should handle everything you can throw at it. It compares well against the Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon and Ford Expedition in terms of capabilities and pulls well ahead of the pack when it comes to interior refinement. If you have these kind of requirements for your next big SUV, you'd do well to check out the Wagoneer.
Which Wagoneer does zzdcar recommend?
Jeep hasn't released official information on the 2024 Wagoneer as of this writing. We'll update our recommendation if anything changes, but based on last year's Wagoneer, we recommend the Series II trim. It's incredibly luxurious inside and benefits from a more fuel-efficient and powerful six-cylinder compared to the base Wagoneer.
