Lamborghini always did some special vehicles that gathered attention and pushed the car brand forward, like the Lamborghini Reventon, a two million USD car.
When the design team gathered to draw a new super-special vehicle, they did look at the famed F-22 fighter-jet. From there, they got their inspiration. This is why the car was designed with huge, square, air intakes and various shapes that could disturb a flight radar.
The car was based on the Lamborghini Murcielago, but had a different bodywork made out of CFC, a carbon-fiber based material. The paint was unique for the car and it was named simply, Grigio (Gray) Reventon. Even the wheels had special paint on them,
Inside the vehicle, the bucket seats looked like they were used in a fighter-jet. The bodywork was shaped in flat panels combined. Even the wheel-arches are not rounded but made up of straight and angled lines. The gray and khaki colors are present on the upholstery. For the instrument panel, there were three TFT displays. The driver could choose from two vehicle information display modes. The instruments were housed in a structure milled from a solid aluminum block, protected by a carbon-fiber casing.
The engine was provided by the Murcielago and it was a 6.5-liter V12 which offered 650 hp and it was mated to an automated (robotized) gearbox. The Reventon featured an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system that could send up to 100% of the torque to the rear and up to 30% to the front wheels.
