As the move away from sedans continues, the luxury market is experiencing a similar shift toward subcompact SUVs. Land Rover made its mark in this class when it introduced the Evoque back in 2012. The current Evoque represents the second generation that was redesigned in 2020. As is the case with its predecessor, the 2023 Land Rover Evoque stands out from the competition with off-road capabilities that would strand rivals.

Avg. Compact SUV
For 2023, the Evoque returns with only minor changes. All models now come standard with adaptive cruise control, while last year's optional Driver Assist package and safe-exit warning feature have been discontinued. Otherwise, the Evoque returns as a stylish and comfortable alternative to the dominant German luxury brands.
The Land Rover Evoque isn't cheap, though. On average you'll pay about $10,000 more for it than a comparably equipped competitor. These include the new and sporty BMW X1, the practical Mercedes-Benz GLB and the Audi Q3, which bridges the gap between the two. Unless you plan on taking advantage of the Evoque's off-road prowess, you'd be better served by those rivals.
Which Range Rover Evoque does zzdcar recommend?
The SE trim gets our recommendation in the Evoque lineup. For a rather reasonable price increase from the base S, you get several desirable features. These include the upgraded dual-screen infotainment system, premium audio and a blind-spot warning system.
