It all started out as a steel business in 1945 and one decade later the company entered the automotive scene, assembling Willys Jeeps in India. Nowadays the carmaker is part of the Mahindra Group, an corporation with international reach that handles multiple areas of business. The automaker also owns the South Korean carmaker SsangYong.
