RAM Trucks

The RAM brand was created in 2009 when the Chrysler Group was reorganized after being acquired by the Fiat Group. The RAM market offensive debuted with the 2011 model year. The move was introduced to raise public awareness on Chrysler’s pickup trucks, which had previously been sold under the Dodge brand, as Dodge RAM models. However, the designation change didn’t reflect in too many actual modifications for the vehicles themselves. According to Chrisler, the brand will concentrate on "real truck" customers, rather than casual ones that are concerned about image or style. The RAM brand’s core models are the full-size trucks, but the company also offers chassis cabs and cargo vans. In addition to that, Ram has received a Commercial wing that comes with specialized offerings for this kind of customers. The RAM name dates back to 1981, when Dodge reinvented its pickup truck range and came up with the designation to offer proper marketing to the line-up. The RAM brand logo uses the head of a ram, formerly the logo used by Dodge.
