Chrysler has just dumped out another batch of specs on the , most importantly reporting that both the 2.4 and 1.4 turbo engines will be able to get more than 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

It might not be a dune-bashing off-road beast, but it just might prove to be a tidy little utility wagon that can crush all the dirt it's realistically going to get thrown into: the parking lot of your neighborhood farmer's market.

Estimates on in-town, combined, and "off-road" fuel consumption have yet to be confirmed, but output for the 2.4 Tigershark engine has been claimed at 184 horsepower, 177 lb.-ft. of torque. The 1.4 turbo will make 160 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft, with the turbocharger's boost dialed up to 22 psi at 4,000 RPM.

Jeep calls the transmission over-engineered; capable of handling 1,475 lb.-ft. of torque for all of you who plan on dropping in a new turbo the size of another SUV. By "capable of handling," I should clarify that Chrysler claims that "Jeep Active Drive" can provide up to 1,475 lb.-ft. of torque to the wheels to "enable optimal grip in low-traction conditions."

Towing is a measly 2,000 pounds, and only recommended with the 2.4 and tow package.
