For $56,500, Could This Autographed Hendrick-Modded 2010 Chevy Camaro SS Sign You Up?
For $56,500, Could This Autographed Hendrick-Modded 2010 Chevy Camaro SS Sign You Up?-April 2024

For some people an autograph book is good enough. For those for which it is not, I present you today’s Camaro, which has the signatures of its modder and its famous intended first owner. Let’s see if that all makes its price worth signing up for.

Man, it’s been a sad run of Crackalicious cars and trucks here this past week. I don’t quite know what to make of it. Have you all turned into Scrooge McDuck or something? I mean even yesterday’s clean and likely solid transportation couldn’t muster anything better than a 54% Crack Pipe loss, and that was for only twenty-eight hundred bucks!

Okay, today we’re swinging for cheap seats with a very expensive car. Hopefully while pricy, it will also prove a prudent investment at that price.

Here is a that has been modded by Hendrick Performance with a bunch of Calloway bits and which was originally intended as a ride for none other than Kelley Earnhardt, co-owner of JR Motorsports and daughter of legendary mustache wearer and race car driver, Dale Earnhardt. This is claimed to be numero uno out of a series of 11 cars massaged by Hendricks, and this is signed by Rick himself AND both Kelley and Dale Jr. Shee-it!

The mods include a supercharger, short-throw six-speed stick shift, suspension upgrades, fancy wheels and expensive-looking tires along with a body kit that looks like Speed Racer finally upgraded the Mach Five.

The seller, who apparently isn’t either Kelley or Dale Jr, says the car has a clean title and is “Brand New every single way.” That being said, there are 2,300 miles on the clock, so it probably doesn’t still have that new car smell. The odor that may have replaced that is Sharpie as that’s what it looks was used to tag both the headrests on the red leather seats, right on top of their SS embroidery. No sweaty bald guys or Jheri Curl in here, please!

Hendrick Performance badging denoting this as CAMARO 001 completes the bonafides inside.

So, it’s got a bunch of show, but does it back that up with copious quantities of go? The ad says there’s 650-bhp to play with, while other sources quote a substantially lower 582. Either way it’s something that’ll need to be experienced first hand to tell. I’ll give you an hour.

You probably don’t need an hour to figure out that this is a unique and interesting Camaro, and it will take far less than that to vote on whether its $56,500 price tag is just as intriguing. Still, you’ll need to make the effort.

What do you think, does its race family history, and Hendricks highjacks make this modded Camaro worth that kind of cash? Or, is this autographed car’s price a sign to run away?

You decide!

St Louis MO , or go if the ad disappears.

H/T to Cory Griffon for the hook up!

At $140,000 Canadian, Is It High Time Someone Buys This Porsche-Powered 1988 Mooney M20L?
Porsche never offered a front-engine car powered by its iconic air-cooled flat-six, but as evidenced by today’s Mooney you could get that layout in airplane form. Let’s see what this rare piece of Porsche history should appropriately cost. From what I’ve been told, the official number of cats one...

At $6,500, Could This Rough 1997 Porsche Boxster 3.4 Actually Be A Smooth Deal?
Today’s Porsche Boxster represents quite a conundrum. It has a 3.4-liter motor upgrade, but the seller says it’s in rough shape and either could be fixed to be streetable or (gulp) parted out. Let’s look at the car and its price to see which path would be more preferable....

At $4,000, Could This Custom 1997 Ford Expedition Have You Flipping Your Lid?
The seller of today’s custom open-top Ford Expedition says it was built to resemble the Himalaya Expedition, a display built for the 1999 Specialty Equipment Market Associationshow in Las Vegas. That kind of makes it the fanfiction of Ford trucks. Let’s see how real the seller has been about...
