Oklahomans Discover Buried Chevy Trailblazer While Building Dirt Bike Jump
Oklahomans Discover Buried Chevy Trailblazer While Building Dirt Bike Jump-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:12

While using a tractor to adjust the ATV and dirtbike jump in his backyard, a gentleman from Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma discovered a low-mileage 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer buried underground, reports. Unsurprisingly, the SUV, which allegedly still has the original factory tires, is completely toast.

Police told the TV station that the Trailblazer had been reported stolen in 2003 by a previous owner of the property on which the truck was recently found.

The current property owner told KFOR NewsChannel 4 that he and his son had unknowingly been doing jumps off the SUV for years.

When the property owner’s son tried making adjustments to his dirt jump with a tractor recently, he ran into something hard, telling the news site:

Went down a little deep and the tractor just stopped...I went, ‘man, what is this?’ Well I end up digging some more and got to the hood of it, and ‘this is a car!’

Upon recognizing the plastic-wrapped, low mileage Trailblazer, the tractor operator called his dad, who notified the police, fearing that there could be bodies inside. When the police arrived, they dug out the vehicle, yanked its doors off, and luckily, discovered no corpses.

What they did discover, however, was a fully intact license plate, which is how they figured out that the car belonged to a former owner of the property. According to KFOR NewChannel 4, “deputies suspect it could be insurance fraud.”

That would be a hell of a lot of effort to put in for insurance fraud. And to think that the stunt probably took the life of one of —I can’t bear the thought of it. I might cry.
