Only 30 Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Editions Are Coming To America
Only 30 Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Gold Editions Are Coming To America-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:42

Nissan GT-R prices stay the same for the 2016 model year with the addition of the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition, which is based on the now 550 hp GT-R Premium and will cost you $102,770 instead of $101,770. The Black Edition remains $111,510 while the 600 hp GT-R Nismo will set you back by $149,990.

Apart from the five extra horsepower granted by a software update, the GT-R Premium also gets a new set of 20-spoke RAYS aluminum-alloy forged wheels with a near black finish replacing the previous 10-spoke design. The tires are still nitrogen-inflated Dunlop Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT run-flats.

For the additional $1,000 they charge for it over the Premium, the 45th Anniversary Gold Edition comes with a gold paint that's the same Silica Brass that marked the 2001 Skyline GT-R M-Spec (R34 Type). Nothing more, just some fancy paint and a plaque on the center console reminding everybody how special you are.

Nissan says "fewer than 30 of these special GT-Rs are slated for the United States", so hurry up if you want one.

We'll just keep saving up for a Nismo.

Update: I'm Still Burning Money
When I I’d just picked it up from having Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 front and rear subframes grafted into its crumbling body. When the car came back to me in May, the clock started ticking. I had until mid-September to get the engine and transmission mounted in the car, clean...
