If you need a truck to do some serious off-roading, the Ford Raptor is the weapon of choice for most folks. But if you wanted something a different, Toyota will offer a Tundra TRD Pro for the 2019 model year, but it’s not cheap with a starting price of $51,275.
It was a solid overall package if you were looking for an “old school” truck. The upgraded 2019 Tundra looks like a nice improvement over the previous generation.

Toyota’s latest pricing sheets show the will start at $51,275 including destination, $3,870 more than it did , the most recent year the Pro version was offered. At the time, the style started at $47,405.
Interestingly, a Double Cab version of the Pro isn’t listed even though it was offered previously. A spokesperson for Toyota confirmed for us today that the Pro will only be sold as a CrewMax model for 2019.
At $51,275, the Pro starts awfully close to the , which has an MSRP of $52,170 for the SuperCab and $55,155 for the SuperCrew. The is getting a beefier setup, but pricing hasn’t been announced.
Senior Pricing analyst Alex Bernstein explains that while the TRD has a starting price that is pretty close to the Raptor, the Toyota only comes in CrewMax version with the four full-size doors. If you wanted a Raptor with the same setup you would be looking at a price difference of $3,880
Furthermore, good luck finding a Raptor without some bonkers dealer markup.
The 2019 Tundra TRD Pro may not be as extreme as the Raptor but it’s likely easier to live with as a daily driver and even with its fairly hefty price tag you are getting a lot of truck for your money.
