This 1991 Acura NSX Is The Supercar For The Rest Of Us-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:44

According to our man Doug DeMuro owning a supercar isn't easy. You can't drive it in the , it cost a fortune to maintain, and it won't But what if you could have it all, the looks, the speed, and not have to second mortgage your house to keep it running. My friends, you need an NSX.

Many of us fantasize about a weekend car for cruising, canyon carving, or attacking our local race track. A car that throws practicality aside for pure driving enjoyment. Therefore, Car Buying has scoured the internet to find a ride for your perfect

Sunday Drive - Car and Truck Buying, Reviews, News and More. | Jalopnik

If you are reading Jalopnik, you already know the cult that is the NSX. But if you are a new visitor that is passing through, I'll give you a quick run-down. In the early 90's Honda decided to take the knowledge they gained from a successful Formula 1 program and transfer it into a sports car that would make Ferrari shit their pants. Honda even used legendary F1 driver Ayrton Senna to help with the chassis and suspension development. What resulted is what may be one of the greatest cars to ever come from the land of the rising sun. The NSX was a supercar that you could take to the track, and drive everyday without having to worry about the notoriously high maintenance cost associated with the Italian cars.

This 1991 NSX with 84,000 miles comes to us from the fine folks at and has a current bid of $24,000. The interior has been completely re-done, paint is said to be 90% original except for some minor re-spray from a parking lot scratch, and like many NSXs it has a few upgrades. The car does not come with the original factory wheels but rather a tasteful set of staggered Enkei rims. The owner also upgraded the brakes with slotted rotors and added new stainless steel brake lines. While the 3.0 V6 will never have the iconic sound of a Ferrari V8, the addition of a cat-back exhaust will let everyone know when the VTEC has kicked in. Sensor codes have indicated that the catalytic converter may need to be replaced soon.

This isn't the most perfect NSX you will find, but it is affordable enough to take home, polish up, fix a few minor issues, and enjoy everyday. And unlike a Ferrari that is a ticking time bomb with 84k miles, this Honda can run strong for another 80 thousand and beyond.

I Ordered A Carbon-Fiber Roof For My Porsche 996 Turbo And I Might Throw Up A Little
I bought maybe the cheapest Porsche 996 Turbo—that’s right, —on the market a year ago, and I’ve mostly been happily stacking miles on the odometer since then. I have been working on making the car my own with a period-correct set of wheels, some extra carbon trim, and a...
