This Is the 2020 Ford Explorer Before You're Supposed to See It
This Is the 2020 Ford Explorer Before You're Supposed to See It-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:10

I suppose this, uh, is the new car face that we’ll all have to learn to recognize in our review mirrors. It looks very goofy and not menacing. But get familiar with it, because you’re looking at the new .

Caught testing in Dearborn, Michigan, the mule is wearing some screaming police livery, as well as the typical camo. As d, all police variants will be all-wheel drive and have engine options that include a 3.3-liter V6, 3.3-liter V6 hybrid and a 3.0-liter V6 EcoBoost.

But for us consumers, there will be a rear-wheel drive configuration available. Our engine options will include all of the police ones and also the 2.3-liter EcoBoost. Plus, there will , too, because nothing is sacred.

The top-trim Explorer will likely have the same 400-horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque figures found in the Lincoln MKZ and the Continental.

It looks decidedly more truck-ish than the previous generation, which was criticized for being too crossover-y. Sure, man. I’m behind whatever you can do to make cars look less like refrigerators on wheels. Even though this still looks like a refrigerator on wheels.

Will The Ford Bronco II Ever Get A Chance To Be Cool?
Will The Ford Bronco II Ever Get A Chance To Be Cool?
The value of old SUVs has continued to climb since we years ago. I’m convinced that in the not-too-distant future, anything with four-wheel drive that looks vaguely rugged will be selling for too much money. A year ago I would have said “except for the Bronco II,” but now I’m...

Re-Bodying A Nissan Patrol As A VW Bus Is All Our Muddy Dreams Come True
We don’t know whether we should call this creation a Nissan Patrol or a Volkswagen Bus at this point, but it gets very muddy and that’s all that really matters. (You can access YouTube’s English captions by clicking the gear icon on the video.) The mad Dutchmen on Mastermilo’s YouTube...

I Want To Love This Jeep Wrangler-Ram 2500 Hybrid But It's Just So Hideous
Combining the versatile body of a Jeep Wrangler with the beefy, Cummins-powered chassis of a Ram 2500 sounds like a brilliant idea. Maybe. But someone in New Jersey did just that, and the result is one of the strangest looking Jeeps I’ve ever seen. A number of readers have sent...

What The Hell Happened To This Jeep?
What The Hell Happened To This Jeep?
Every so often, we see an advertisement for a car burned so crispy that we have to wonder what happened. Today’s object of musing was this 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. As you can see from the ad, the Jeep was definitely used as once upon a time. But because...
