You Can Buy A Beautiful Porsche 911 Carrera For The Price Of A Camry
You Can Buy A Beautiful Porsche 911 Carrera For The Price Of A Camry-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:44

We are living in the future. No longer are supercars the one-trick ponies they once were - they can be legitimate daily drivers and weekend warrior canyon carvers all in one tiny package, . Yours for less than the price of a base model Toyota Camry V6.

is the car Porsche decided to make after they woke up from the aesthetic binge-drink that was the Porsche 996. They fixed the lion's share of IMS bearing issues that plagued the NA 996 engines, and made an awesome car inside and out. With all wheel drive and a 3.6 liter flat-6 cylinder engine, it could get from a dead stop to 60 miles per hour in under 5 seconds, which was quite a feat for a bone stock, base model Porsche.

Everything in this car was redesigned and made to fit its six figure original MSRP. The quality of the leather and interior materials was transformed, and the car finally looked like a driver-focused powerhouse, not a bargain basement build sponsored by LEGO Duplo.

This particular example looks well cared for, with no accidents on its supplied history report, and has some optional extras, such as its alcantara suede headliner. It's also Certified Pre-Owned, which means that it's gone through at least some sort of inspection that you can view before purchasing the car - which is not only helpful with a performance car like this, it's a necessity. Parts can be expensive for this car, but with some good research, there isn't much that can potentially go wrong (other than a very small number of IMS bearing failures on early 997 models). .

I Ordered A Carbon-Fiber Roof For My Porsche 996 Turbo And I Might Throw Up A Little
I bought maybe the cheapest Porsche 996 Turbo—that’s right, —on the market a year ago, and I’ve mostly been happily stacking miles on the odometer since then. I have been working on making the car my own with a period-correct set of wheels, some extra carbon trim, and a...
