You Can Buy The First And Last Naturally Aspirated M3 Convertibles
You Can Buy The First And Last Naturally Aspirated M3 Convertibles-April 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:43

The M3 convertible is sort of an odd-duck; people either love them or hate them. You either revel in their open-top goodness or rail against the excess weight and reduced stability. For those of you in the first camp, now is your chance to get an original in one shot.

One special seller on Ebay, is listing the ultra rare (less than 800 made) and collectible E30 M3 with about 75,000 miles on the clock. It has the legendary S-14 motor pumping out a claimed 240 horsepower mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

But the E30 is a car you keep in the garage, only take out on special occasions, and sell for some ridiculous sum of money right before the E30 market bubbles. Now supposed you wanted something for daily use? Also being offered as a package deal (cars will not be sold separately) is the fantastic E93 hard-top convertible with only 10,000 miles. This has twice the cylinder count, 414hp and comes with BMW's paddle-shifting DCT transmission.

Now that the M3/M4 has gone turbo, there are those of us who will miss winding out a naturally aspirated screamer all the way up to its red-line. Sure turbo torque is nice, but there is something satisfying about a great engine free from forced induction. For those of you that prefer the wind in your hair and an M badge on the rear...it doesn't get much better than this.

Auction ends tomorrow people...so get to it.

I Ordered A Carbon-Fiber Roof For My Porsche 996 Turbo And I Might Throw Up A Little
I bought maybe the cheapest Porsche 996 Turbo—that’s right, —on the market a year ago, and I’ve mostly been happily stacking miles on the odometer since then. I have been working on making the car my own with a period-correct set of wheels, some extra carbon trim, and a...
