How do you increase the value of a Lexus LX570 SUV? Apparently, the answer is “just take a to the roof,” because that’s what this dealer in the UAE did. And his asking price is absurd.

There’s a special place in automotive hell for the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet. It’s ugly, overpriced, and worst of all, structurally compromised.

If you were really looking forward to owning a hideous, expensive SUV, but Doug’s review disappointed you, there might be another option that won’t result in a windshield on your lap: this custom convertible Lexus LX570.

in the UAW is selling this 2016 Lexus LX 570 convertible for the low, low price of only 1,300,000 AED, the equivalent of about $350,000. That’s nearly $250,000 higher than their asking price for standard, non-hacked LX 570s.

So this big convertible SUV might sound expensive, but just look at that roll ca—oh, never mind. Okay, but still, look at the electric hardto—nope, that’s not there, either. But the interior is completely custo—no, that’s a stock interior. Okay, so you’re paying about $250,000 extra for a Sawzall’d roof and a flappy soft-top that attaches via velcro.

Seems worth it.

But on the plus side, because the LX570 is body-on-frame, there’s a solid chance the SUV might, you know, hold together. The same can’t be said about the CrossCabriolet.
