The new 2013NissanMicrahas been revealed,which launched earlier this year in Thailand and is expected to launch in South Africa in 2014.
The updated Micra engine line-up includes the same three-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine and a supercharged 1.2-litre DIG petrol engine which can do 4.1-litres/100 km and has C02 emissions of 95 g/km. Both engines are mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT.
The new 2013 Nissan Micra sports a few exterior tweaks including a new front bumper, triangular fog-lights and more angular headlights as the main change. The car also gets a new rear bumper, modified tailgate trim and LED taillights. It can be optionally fitted with a panoramic glass roof, new paint hues, new alloy wheels and a park assist system.
The Micras cabin has had a bit of a nip and tuck and is fitted with a new gloss-black centre console with different air vents, electric front windows, remote central locking, ABS, ESP, power steering and CD/AUX/USB, a bigger infotainment screen and a redesigned instrument cluster.
Nissan South Africa confirmed the updated 2013 Nissan Micra will only be introduced in mid 2014 in South Africa. The model is currently under study and pricing will be communicated closer to the launch.
