BMW's flagship performance sedan will be fully revealed at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and we'll be in attendance. What we know so far is that it is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8. BMW has not released any figures, with only a suggestion that it has more power than the outgoing model. If we were to hazard a guess, 460 kW and 750 Nm sound like fair ballpark figures. With launch control dialled up and using theXDrive all-wheel drive, BMW is claiming a 0-100 kph sprint time ofunder 3.5 seconds. When it comes to market, it will go up against the Audi RS6 and Mercedes-AMG E63 S.
We had a chance to drive the new BMW M5 prototype. Read the report
