One of the characters in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be none other than three-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton. Because when I think of first-person shooter military action, I totally think of someone who spends more time on his hair than I do.
French television station M6 caught Lewis in action recording facial expressions and sound clips for six scenes in the game, according to . Lewis was captured saying phrases like, “Captain, news reports coming on about the gateway if you want to join us,” in front of a green screen.
Lewis’ other phrase may even give you the sensation of being his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg. Hamilton was caught recording the phrase “I’m right behind you” for the game. I believe this is the only time he’s ever been happy about uttering that phrase.
While I’m disappointed that Hamilton’s in-game character isn’t wearing Snapchat’s , I do find this oddly amusing. Hamilton told ESPN that he’s been a longtime fan of the game, so he’s honored to make an appearance.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare comes out on November 4. Only time will tell if they made —the same item of clothing that was thrown in anger during last year’s United States Grand Prix—usable as a weapon in the game.
