Anthony Davidson has accomplished more than most racing drivers can ever hope to do. He’s been in Formula One. He’s been to Le Mans. He currently races with the Toyota Gazoo Racing team and commentating on Formula One for Sky Sports. We’ve got him here for the next thirty minutes to answer your questions. Go!
Back in Formula One, Davidson was a part of several fan favorite teams — Honda, Super Aguri and Minardi. He first went to Le Mans in 2003 with Prodrive, and has been a part of the Toyota LMP1 team since 2013. That’s a nice move from the top level of single-seater racing over to the top class in the top level of endurance racing. Somehow, he’s made time to do commentary on F1 races as well.
Last year, that Toyota LMP1 in the World Endurance Championship, shutting down a streak of Audi domination. Davidson and teammate Sébastien Buemi were crowned WEC world drivers’ champions, and while they don’t seem to be on target for a repeat this year, they’re the right team to get the best out of Toyota’s all-new TS 050 car next year.
What do you want to know about either of the premier racing series in the world, or about Davidson himself? Worst Formula One oops? Places he’d love to see WEC race? Favorite racing commentators? Thoughts on getting an all-important Le Mans win? Boxers or briefs? Favorite type of cheese?
