2023-12-14 EST 02:30:53

The Chevrolet Lumina sedan and Ute have received upgrade packages that provide enhanced ride and handling as well as improved braking. The V8 Lumina sedan has also received a minor cosmetic change with the addition of a chrome belt line.

Chevrolet Lumina gets improved brakes and handling

The Chevrolet Lumina sedan and Ute is now available with the latest Performance Sport Suspension package that includes stiffer stabiliser bars and dampers that have been fine tuned to offer better handling and ride quality. The Lumina also benefits from revised braking and the front brakes now feature four-piston, two-piece Brembo aluminium callipers with large 355mm pillar-vented discs for improved cooling and durability. The package is completed with 19-inch high-strength alloy wheels fitted with low profile tyres which further enhance grip.

Engine Power and Features

The Chevrolet Lumina is powered by a 6.0-litre V8 all-aluminium engine that delivers 270kW and 530Nm of torque. This engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. In the case of the automatic variant, power is rated at 260kW.

The Lumina in executive trim includes leather seats, dual zone climate control, power windows and side mirrors, sport seats with 4-way electronic and lumbar adjustment, sport alloy pedals and a driver information centre.

Safety features include six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and Traction Control. Central locking with auto-lock and an immobiliser is fitted as standard.
