Craigslist Seller Knows What They Have, a Truck Not On Fire (Anymore)
Craigslist Seller Knows What They Have, a Truck Not On Fire (Anymore)-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:09:46

Many of us feel we are living in pessimistic times at best, so it’s like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day to see some pure, unadulterated optimism. Let this Craigslist ad for a Chevy S10 suffering from a heap of problems—the least of which was temporarily being on fire—serve as a refresher for your world-weary soul.

Here’s the ad from :

1992 Chevy s10 4.3 4x4 auto frame is broke in 3 places and rusty, no longer has the bed, won’t start, I don’t think its firing, lots of good parts and the title is good, taxes are paid,, $350. Only drove on Sundays by a little ol lady, back and forth to the bootlegger

You know you’ve found a sweet deal when the title of a Craigslist ad includes “no longer on fire.”

This ad is actually fairly trimmed down. The original ad mentioned that the hood scoop originally came from a lawnmower and that the interior is “better than you would think,” according to .

For a $350 truck with a shattered frame and a lawnmower scoop, better than what I think the interior looks like is still not ‘nice’ enough. But this person is out there, trying their all to sell this broken beast. If you dream it, you can achieve it!

And if you’re wondering where to see video of this truck performing burnouts (before the engine stopped turning over, of course) look no further.

I'm An Australian Doing A Road Trip Across America! What Car Should I Buy?
Tom is from the land down under and will be visiting the U.S. He plans on doing a coast-to-coast road trip and doesn’t want a boring rental car. He has a modest budget for a road-trip-ready American machine. What car should he buy? (Welcome back to ? Where we...

At $30,000, Would You Race To Buy This Street-Able ‘1976’ WCM Ultralite Racer?
Colin Chapman famously made his cars go faster by “adding lightness.” Today’s “sort-of-a” Lotus Seven adds a hot Honda mill to that lightness. We’ll have to see if that’s worth lightening your wallet a considerable bit to buy it. How cheap would a car have to be for you...

This 1966 Ford Mustang Is Called The 'Z-Tang' And It's Weirder Than It Looks
On first glance, it looks like the most generic ever: a 1966 Coupe, probably with the 289 V8 and C4 three-speed automatic. But actually, this machine, for sale on , is much, much stranger. That’s because the “Z-Tang,” , had its guts traded for those of a Datsun. And...

At $11,500, Could This Turbocharged 2000 Honda CR-V Be A Real BFD?
Today’s CR-V is being sold without its stereo’s sub and amp, but with an intercooled turbo for its transverse four. That seems the better deal, but we still have to decide if its price makes it worth dealing with at all. Donald Healey’s initial intentions for his tiny Austin-derived...

I Hauled My Kid Around In Five Different Minivans: Here's What I Learned
People either love to hate minivans, or have completely forgotten about them, even though they’re the most practical, comfortable form of transportation a family of four or more can get their grubby, peanut butter-smeared hands on. (: Various automakers loaned me their vans, fully fueled, for family road-testing purposes.)...

At $2,400, Is This 1996 Isuzu SUV A Real Super Trooper?
People like to say “they don’t make ‘em like that anymore,” and when it comes to Isuzus today’s Trooper, they don’t make ‘em at all. Let’s see if this old luxury SUV from a defunct car brand not known for luxury can still make its asking price. Okay people,...
