Craigslist Seller Knows What They Have, a Truck Not On Fire (Anymore)
Craigslist Seller Knows What They Have, a Truck Not On Fire (Anymore)-January 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:09:46

Many of us feel we are living in pessimistic times at best, so it’s like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day to see some pure, unadulterated optimism. Let this Craigslist ad for a Chevy S10 suffering from a heap of problems—the least of which was temporarily being on fire—serve as a refresher for your world-weary soul.

Here’s the ad from :

1992 Chevy s10 4.3 4x4 auto frame is broke in 3 places and rusty, no longer has the bed, won’t start, I don’t think its firing, lots of good parts and the title is good, taxes are paid,, $350. Only drove on Sundays by a little ol lady, back and forth to the bootlegger

You know you’ve found a sweet deal when the title of a Craigslist ad includes “no longer on fire.”

This ad is actually fairly trimmed down. The original ad mentioned that the hood scoop originally came from a lawnmower and that the interior is “better than you would think,” according to .

For a $350 truck with a shattered frame and a lawnmower scoop, better than what I think the interior looks like is still not ‘nice’ enough. But this person is out there, trying their all to sell this broken beast. If you dream it, you can achieve it!

And if you’re wondering where to see video of this truck performing burnouts (before the engine stopped turning over, of course) look no further.

At $8,000, Is This 'ViperVette' The Mega-Merger We Deserve, Or Simply The One We Need?
The seller of today’s Viper-bodied Corvette claims it to be a great winter project. That seller also says the car underneath is a ’96 when its dash is clearly a half-decade older than that. Could its price be low enough to mask those misrepresentations? Yesterday’s may have represented the...

It’s okay to be last if you can also be best and today’s 968 both the last and arguably one of the best of Porsche’s original front-engine four-cylinder line. Let’s see if this one’s price puts it first on your list. There are two primary types of private party...

As Jalopnik’s resident car buying expert and professional car shopper, I get emails. Lots of emails. I’ve decided to pick a few questions and try to help out. This week we are talking about negotiating car deals, clearance pricing on Alfas, and legally registering a used car during coronavirus....

How Zero Percent APR And Deferred Payments Can Be Financially Dangerous
In light of the economic impact of coronavirus and the general desperation of automakers to sell cars, several brands are offering special financing programs such as zero percent loans and/or deferred payment programs. Kia’s version is a good example of how these programs can be both possibly a bargain...

This Connecticut Kia Dealer Is Selling A One-Off '65 Pontiac Banshee Concept Car
When John Z. DeLorean tells you to put together a Pontiac sports car to slot under the Corvette, this is what you build. It’s a straight-six powered two-seater called the XP-833 Banshee, meant to share much under the skin with the contemporary Tempest. But while it looks plenty appealing,...

Mercedes Benz may be one of Germany’s preeminent automotive brands, but today’s ML was actually built in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Let’s see of this diesel-powered wagon’s price reflects any of the South’s famous southern comfort. There’s was a meme going around that for a short time popularized the slogan “condoms...
