These engines just don’t want to cooperate, do they? Much in line with the luck of NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup drivers so far this year, Brad Keselowski joined Martin Truex Jr. in the Talladega Superspeedway garage for a blown engine.
Keselowski led parts of the race prior to the engine problems, though he still hovered out of the top eight in the championship. Talladega is a cutoff race for the series’ Chase, meaning that only eight of the 12 remaining drivers will get to stay in contention for the title once this race is over. If you haven’t been able to tell, Keselowski won’t be one of them. Truex likely won’t be, either. They’re two favorites for the title, which means things will get interesting.
But, even with a blown engine and blown Chase hopes, Keselowski apparently stopped to sign an autograph.
Good job, dude.
