F1 German Grand Prix Attracts Giant Watch Ad On Tarp, Also Some Fans
F1 German Grand Prix Attracts Giant Watch Ad On Tarp, Also Some Fans-September 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:11:30

That’s a massive seat-covering Rolex at the Formula One German Grand Prix Yikes. If you can’t sell the seats, I guess you can always sell ad space.

It’s not a good sign to see two F1 races in a row where big sections of seats have been covered up because they knew they wouldn’t sell. It’s even worse knowing that the German Grand Prix is the home race for Mercedes as well as several drivers, and one that’s due to financial issues.

It’s not cheap to go to an F1 race, and even to Merc’s home crowd, something probably needs to be done to improve the action before fans feel as if the show justifies shelling out for tickets.

Here's What Happens When a 891-HP Hillclimb Car Goes Drag Racing
You don’t see the enormous wings of a high-dollar hillclimb car anywhere outside of, well, a hill climb, too often. But this Audi Quattro S1 E2 built for Pikes Peak would look glorious on any track. The more time I spend looking at this car, the more ridiculous it seems....

This Is Terrifying
This Is Terrifying
Driving flat-out up Pikes Peak is already incredibly challenging. It’s over 12 miles of uphill driving with 156 turns, many of which are bounded by sheer rock and vast areas of nothing into which you could plummet. It’s hard. That’s why doing it without the benefit of a handy little...

Trump on NASCAR: ‘The Whole League Endorsed Me’
Monday saw Simon Pagenaud become the first Indy 500 winner to visit the White House since 2006, which, hm. Pagenaud did his assigned job of standing there and being relatively boring, but the real weirdness began when President Trump decided to just start riffing on NASCAR instead. You can...
