Fat-Ass Fire Truck Sinks Into Pavement
Fat-Ass Fire Truck Sinks Into Pavement-November 2024
2024-02-19 EST 22:13:29

A broken six-inch water main that deprived five Arlington, VA houses of water caused enough saturation below a road to sink a fire truck.

reported that the apparatus fell into a sinkhole caused by the water leak at around 7 this morning.

The Pierce pumper can carry between 500 and 1500 gallons of water, and all up can weight north of 20 tons.

A massive wrecker was required to lift the front of the fire apparatus up by its front recovery points and carry it a few feet to solid ground. The pumper did not appear to be damaged, most are designed to allow for a little flex between the cab and the body.

Crews set to fixing the pipe after the truck had been removed.

The 2017 Chevy Diesel Trucks Are Getting Huge Power Gains: Report
Looks like General Motors accidentally posted some specs on its new heavy duty pickup Duramax diesel engine over the weekend, and it’s got five horsepower on Ford’s Power Stroke. If these numbers are accurate Ford will hold the line on peak torque, but Chevy will still be making a big...

The neon-colored explosion of bad taste known as the show in Las Vegas is just around the corner, and so are the legions of absurd and delightful tuner cars that will be showing off alternate-universe versions of actual cars. Like, you know, this 1,040 horsepower rear-drive Hyundai Santa Fe. To...
