The Fiat 500X Opening Edition has been officially unveiled ahead of its launch scheduled for early 2015.
The special edition follows after the unveiling of the regular 500X which was revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. It will exclusively be available for the first 2000 customers from Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland.
The entry-level version of the model comes in an Art Grey exterior with rear tinted windows, special badging and 18-inch alloy wheels. The model also has an automatic climate control system and the Safety and Comfort packages.
The range-toppingFiat 500X Opening Edition features an Amore Red exterior along with rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlights. Other highlights include a two-tone interior, an electrochromic rear-view mirror and an Uconnect infotainment system with GPS navigation.
Engine options will include a 1.6-litre MultiJet II unit delivering 88 kW and a 1.4-litre Turbo MultiAir II with 103 kW.
The entry-level edition will be offered with front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive will come with the 2.0-litre MultiJet II engine that produces 103 kW and is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
First deliveries are said to take place in the beginning of 2015. We’re still waiting to hear from Fiat SA with regards to 500X availability.
