For $7,150, Orange You Glad This 2005 Audi Allroad Didn’t Say Banana?
For $7,150, Orange You Glad This 2005 Audi Allroad Didn’t Say Banana?-October 2024

Wouldn’t you like to have a car that was specifically designed for “all roads?” Today’s Audi has that assertion built right into its name, as well as some other additions. We’ll have to see if its price makes it all that and a bag of chips.

Well that wasn’t surprising at all, no siree bob. Yesterday’s earned itself an 85% Crack Pipe loss at its eighty-five hundred dollar asking price. Talk about your coincidence! That individually-personalized truck was proof of the old adage that there’s no pot too crooked to find a lid that fits, only in this case it’s the seller that’s the lid.

Hey, maybe this will make you flip your lid. After all, who doesn’t love the Oregon State Beavers?

Yep, this orange over black - well, the tires are black - Audi wagon has taken the butched-up, outdoorsy Allroad style and cranked it up like a masochist’s nipple clamp in an orange homage to the Northwest State’s premier school’s team.

The modifications include an LED-encrusted diamond plate roof rack on top, roo bar in front, and over all accent color scheme resplendent in a hue more closely associated with fruit than beavers.

Why would you do any of that? Why dufuq not? It’s football season after all, you want to support your team, you like to tailgate (at the stadium, not the highway, duh), and who doesn’t like an Allroad?

You might like the fact that this one, with just shy of 153,000 on the clock, has had a replacement motor dropped in with only 97K to keep the party started. That’s Audi’s 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6, good not just for 250-bhp but also for looking like a totally bad-ass flux capacitor under the hood.

In addition to the lower mileage donor mill, there’s a new torque converter converting torque for the five-speed auto box and a bunch of kibbles and bits here and there. The ad notes a Silva air suspension system for ride height adjustment, and new WinterForce tires, which along with the Quattro drivetrain should be good for… you guessed it, all roads.

Aside from all the bold Beaver embellishment, the car looks pretty clean both inside and out. That interior is two-tone black and grey and comes with branded rubber floor mats. It also proves that - style wise - Audi has always been neat the top of their game when it came to interior design.

The exterior doesn’t seem to have anything wrong with it either, and if you don’t like all the orange, it seems as though that wouldn’t be too tough to change out/make less embarrassing for a non-Beaver fan.

The fact that the fandom here only extends to the color and not any team branding means that it could just be passed off as an expressive color choice. There’s a clean title underneath it all too.

The seller says that the car was modded for use in his business, an idea that didn’t pan out. His questionable business acumen could be your win if you find the car’s $7,150 price tag, and its appearance, to be a deal.

What do you think, is this Beaver-boasting Audi Allroad worth that sort of scratch? Or, does that price make you just not give a dam?

You decide!

Portland OR , or go if the ad disappears.
