McLaren F1 has announced that their former veteran driver Andrea de Cesaris has passed away.

Multiple reports from Italian media are reporting that de Cesaris was involved in a motorcycle crash, and Motorsport.com's Nick DeGroot is .

The 55-year-old was killed in a motorcycle accident outside of Rome earlier today....He was riding a Suzuki 600 and although the details of the accident are not yet known, he lost control and struck a guardrail. He was killed on impact.

De Cesaris is known for having the longest F1 career without a victory.
